First Group Activity A
Create an Aquarium Diorama
Transform shoe boxes into aquarium diaoramas. Paint the background, glue in plants, add sand or rocks.
Supplies needed
Empty shoebox, glue, construction paper in several different colors, glitter, sand, rocks, markers, paint
First Group Activity B
Paper fish
Campers can fold, cut, and glue colored paper to create vibrant and whimsical fish designs. Attach fish with string to the ceiling of the diorama with string to suspend the fish in the aquarium
Supplies needed
Colored paper, markers
Second Group Activity B
Tissue Paper Flower
By layering and folding the tissue paper, they can craft petals and blooms in various shapes and sizes.
Supplies needed
Tissue paper, pipe cleaners, and scissors.
Second Group Activity B
Handprint Animals
By applying non-toxic paint to their palms and fingers, campers can create handprints on paper or fabric, which serve as the bodies or heads of various animals. Adding details like eyes, ears, and tails with markers or additional paint brings these hand print animals to life, making them unique and cherished keepsakes that showcase campers' creativity and the beauty of nature.

Crayon Rubbings
Give students crayons and paper. Have them place the paper over textured surfaces (like leaves or coins) and rub the crayon over it to create interesting patterns and textures.
